Personal Work

Sophio Chkhenkeli

I think a lot about how visual language is built - especially through typography.
How it looks. How it holds together. How it guides the eye. How it makes you think.

In my work, this takes shape through brand identity, logotypes, typography, and visual systems.

Sophioc brand

Sophioc is my ongoing typography project, built around Georgian script.

I started it with a simple idea - to share Georgian letterforms and word meanings beyond language, and bring them into everyday life.

Through objects and wearable pieces, the goal is to create something personal - a way for people to connect with Georgian words, even if they don’t speak the language.

For me, this project is very special. It grows slowly and naturally.

Today, Georgian words from Sophioc are worn in more than 10 countries - each piece carrying its own meaning and story.

Paintings

Alongside digital work, I often paint letters and words by hand.
It’s a constant source of inspiration and usually the beginning of new, more exploratory styles.

This process helps me refine my lines, better understand shapes, and stay connected to the physical side of typography.
